The Parish Council has been informed that work to the drainage system will be taking place on Smithams Hill from the 9th August, for approximately 3 weeks.
There may be temporary closures between Wallace Lane and Pitt Farm, and no parking on that section during this time. Any diversion will be via West Harptree and Wellsway, but hopefully it will just be stop/start signs or traffic lights.
Hopefully this will be welcome work and will improve the drainage on the hill.
